As Thursday's NBA trade deadline quickly approaches, the New York Knicks reportedly have their eyes on multiple players around the league.

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports explained that while the Knicks "have shown legitimate interest" in Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington, they "appear more interested" in Toronto Raptors guard Bruce Brown Jr.

The Raptors are believed to be seeking "some return in the range of a first-round pick" in exchange for Brown, who was acquired from the Indiana Pacers as part of the Pascal Siakam trade.

The Knicks have already reaped the benefits of trading with the Raptors, as their acquisition of OG Anunoby has paid off in a big way. New York has won nine of its last 10 games and sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 32-18 record.

However, the Knicks don't appear to be interested in moving one of their most coveted players. Fischer noted that "it's become clear" that the team isn't willing to part with Quentin Grimes "unless New York is trading the young swingman for a perceived upgrade" and not "for a different back-of-the-rotation piece."

Grimes has played in 45 games with 18 starts this season and is averaging 7.3 points, which is down from his average of 11.3 points last season. Still, it appears that the Knicks value Grimes highly, as he is a career 37.9 percent shooter from three-point range.

Fischer added that Grimes "continues to have fans" in other franchises, namely the Atlanta Hawks and the Utah Jazz. In particular, Jazz forward Kelly Olynyk and shooting guard Jordan Clarkson were named as players that the Knicks "still have on their radar."

New York has proved it is a playoff-caliber squad, so adding another piece before the trade deadline could put the team over the top as a true title contender.
