Princess Charlotte Receives $200K Snow White Painting -- See the Gift

One lucky Princess! Princess Charlotte has been given an amazing, unique piece of artwork featuring Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in celebration of her recent christening, by one of Prince William and Kate Middleton's close friends.

The almost 7-foot-wide canvas was privately commissioned by "someone very close to the family," and has been created by artist Stephen Cawston, who specializes in reproducing original movie posters by hand. This poster was the original billboard advert for the 1937 movie.

The stunning creation is currently at London's Homarge Gallery, where it has been bubble wrapped and is awaiting delivery to Kensington Palace. Artist Cawston declined to comment on who had commissioned him to create the artwork but did confirm to Us that the Homarge Gallery had been "commissioned to paint a picture for the Cambridges."

This expensive gift is likely to be one of the more lavish presents the 2-month-old princess has received in celebration of her christening on Sunday, July 5.

Prince Charles gave his granddaughter a more modest solid silver photo frame engraved with his insignia and containing a photograph of himself with his grandchildren. Another family member had a special silver christening pin with Charlotte's initials engraved on it.

Prince George's little sister also received designer clothes from aunt Pippa Middleton while her nanny, Maria Borrallo, organized the delivery of a specially made christening layette from the Spanish store Irulea. Borrallo also gifted a piece of coral jewelery to Charlotte, a traditional gift at Spanish baptisms.

Vanity Fair was first to break news of the gift.
